During their final year at the Harry S. Truman Elementary School, students
enjoy interesting, innovative, hands-on learning experiences. Our
students participate in a motivating science curriculum, focusing on living
things, the solar system, health topics, and light and sound. Students
will have the opportunity to be scientists while performing numerous experiments.
Field trips to the Wildlands Conservancy and the Weller Center enhance
the science program. Historical studies are enhanced by a trip to
The Colonial Quarter in Historic Bethlehem. Fifth grade students
spearhead the annual Spirit of Giving project in December, which contributes
to a local community service. Fifth grade students have the opportunity
to read the morning announcements and to become school safety patrols.
