A child will be excluded from school if
it is suspected that he/she has a communicable condition. This includes
skin rash, pink eye, impetigo, scabies, strep throat, etc. If excluded,
your child must present written permission from the examining physician
for re-entry to school.
ILLNESS If a child becomes ill while at school, it may be necessary that someone come for him/her. At the beginning of the year an "Emergency Procedure" card is sent home asking for a home phone number, and the name and phone number of a relative or friend. We encourage parents to include more than one number where they can be reached, such as a pager, cell phone or work numbers. If the parent cannot be reached, the alternalte person on the card will be contacted in case of an emergency during the school day. Parents are encouraged to use good judgment
when deciding whether to send a child to school. If a child has been vomiting
or had a fever during the night, the student should remain at home that
day. Please remember to call the school office to report your
child's absence and also please send an excuse with your child when he/she
returns back to school. The telephone number for the office is 610-791-2800.
