SCHOLARSHIPS/$$$$$:  (Applications are available in the guidance office)

--Gaylord L. Griffiths Foreign Language Scholarship - senior shall be pursuing a college degree in the field of Foreign Language or International Studies.  Interested students need to submit a one-page essay including the college they will be attending in the fall, their anticipated major and the importance of studying a foreign language.  Deadline – April 18th

--Salisbury Education Association Award – senior must be in good academic standing, plan a career in public education, and submit a statement of purpose that clearly identifies his or her educational goals.  Deadline – April 18th

   --Lehigh Valley Builders Association Scholarship – for seniors who have been accepted by a college or trade school in an accredited construction-related course of study.  Deadline – April 13th

--Lehigh Valley Builders Assoc. Tool Award – LCTI senior in:  Cabinet-making; Carpentry; Electrical; Construction; Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning; Masonry or Plumbing.  Deadline – April 13th

--Kids’ Chance of PA Scholarship – applicant’s parent must have sustained a catastrophic or fatal injury/illness as a result of a work-related accident and must be compensable under PA Workers’ Compensation Law.  Application deadline – April 14th

   --Jewish Family Service is sponsoring the Gaines Family Foundation Prize in Engineering for Jewish seniors residing in the Lehigh Valley who have demonstrated interest and potential for success in engineering and have been accepted into an Engineering program.  Deadline – April 15th

   --Delta Sigma Theta Sorority – a predominately African-American women’s sorority is sponsoring a scholarship for female seniors who have a minimum 3.0 GPA and plan to further their education at a 4-year college.  Deadline – April 15th

--The Latino Leadership Alliance of the Lehigh Valley has a scholarship program for students of Hispanic heritage in order to assist them in the completion of their higher education.  Deadline – April 15th

--Emmaus Garden Club Memorial Scholarship – students pursuing studies in the field of: Agriculture, Horticulture, Landscaping or other related fields with a “B” average or above.  Deadline – April 15th

   --The Allentown Music Club is sponsoring a Past Presidents’ Memorial Scholarship.  Senior shall be majoring in Music Performance at an accredited Music School of the Performing Arts.  Deadline – April 15th

--The Woman’s Club of Allentown is sponsoring a Memorial Scholarship.  Criteria includes:  academic promise, SAT min. total score of 900, extra-curricular activities, and financial need.  Deadline – April 16th

   --Lehigh Valley Water Suppliers, Inc. is sponsoring a scholarship program for seniors who have participated in environmental or science activities and/or those considering continuing their education in a field which could be applied in the water industry (science, engineering, finance, plumbing, etc.)  Deadline – April 18th

--The Hellenic University Club Announces Scholarship for students of Greek Descent.  A variety of scholarships is available.  Deadline – April 21st

   --Hospital Central Services, Inc. is sponsoring a Volunteer Scholarship to a student who demonstrates outstanding volunteer service through the Miller-Keystone Blood Center.  Deadline – April 30th

   --Jewish Family Service is sponsoring the Martin Philip Memorial Scholarship for Jewish seniors residing in the Lehigh Valley who have participated in school activities and community service.  Deadline – April 30th   

   --Allentown Garden Club Scholarship – students pursuing studies in the field of: Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Floriculture, Forestry or other related fields with a “B” average or above.  Deadline – May 1st

   --The friends and family of “Annie” Giamalis have created a Scholarship fund in her honor.  Annie Scholarship Fund applications are due by May 1st

   --Pencor Services, Inc. will award Claude E. Reinhard Telecommunication Scholarships to seniors pursuing a post-secondary education in any of the following fields:  culinary arts, telecommunications, journalism, broadcasting or computer technologies.  Deadline – May 2nd
