-Completed college
applications must be received in the guidance office for processing at least 2
weeks before the application deadline.
-Once you receive your
application(s), read and follow the instructions very carefully.
-If you need
recommendations, ask your teacher(s) in advance; have them give the completed
recommendations(s) to your counselor.
-A
permission form, signed by a parent/guardian, must be on file before we are
able to send your transcript, (a record of your high school grades, including
test scores) to any college, university, employer, coach, etc.
-You will be asked to fill
out a recommendation questionnaire for your counselor.
-Your counselor will mail
all materials to the institution; this includes copies of your transcript, test
scores, recommendations, school profile, etc.
-If you file your college
application electronically, you must inform the guidance office as soon as
possible.
-The first 3
transcripts sent are free; after that, each one will cost $2.00.
-When you receive your
college acceptance letter(s) and any scholarship letters, please inform the
guidance office ASAP.
Note: Scholarship applications are to be handled in the same manner.
