How to read Bacon v. Berkeley Indian Policy Argument

  1. Determine Bacon's definition of treason and cabal
  2. Establish Bacon's thesis and supporting points
  3. Locate Bacon's counterpoint to Berkeley
  4. Determine how Bacon counters Berkeley
  5. Find the hinge pin

Overall, determine which argument bears the test of historical accuracy and why. 

Keep in mind: What work does history seek to do? What makes history authentic? What cultural work does history perform?
