Many parents and students buy unnecessary or incorrect school supplies during the summer because they are not sure what is required by the teachers. The following is a list of necessary school supplies for grade 7:

• One 3-ring binder at least 2"- for major subjects
• One 3-ring binder at least 1-1/2" – for English

  

  Notebook dividers (10)     

  

  Notebook paper

• Pencils and erasers

• Pens (blue and black ONLY)

• Two-pocket folder for art

• Book covers (brown bags)

 

Optional but VERY helpful   

• Reinforcements
• Pencil case for binder
• Calculator
• Highlighter
• 3x5 Index cards (for flashcards)

 

Beginning September 1, 2002, all 7^th grade students must present proof of Varicella (chicken pox) Disease or Varicella Booster and Hepatitis B immunization. Any student who has not provided Salisbury Township School District with this information will not be able to attend school until that information is provided. The School Nurse has already sent home several notices to parents who still need to provide the school with this information.

All 7^th grade students are required to have a dental exam. Please have paperwork completed and returned to school in September.

If your child will betaking medication during school hours, please have proper paperwork completed and brought to school with the medication on the first day.

Prevent Brain Drain This Summer

• Keep lost of books around and make regular trips to the library.
• Think about what your child will be learning in 8^th grade when planning a vacation.
• Use math skills and do math related activities whenever possible
• Look into educational programs that are offered in the area.
