ENGLISH- Students will study grammar, vocabulary, etymology, technical writing, speaking skills, library usage and literary elements such as novels, short stories and poetry.

AMERICAN CULTURES- Students will explore the colonization of America through the social reform movement before the Civil War.

MATHEMATICS INVESTIGATIVE- Students will investigate operations with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and integers; beginning Algebra; intro to geometry; probability and scientific notation.

ALGEBRA TOPICS- Students will explore the development of the real number system from whole numbers to integers and rational numbers, the properties and operations under the set of reals, algebraic punctuation, the solution of equations and inequalities in one variable and graphing on a number line and on Cartesian coordinates.

ALGEBRA 1- This class is designed to develop the basic ideas and structures of algebra which will be used in future studies of mathematics.

ALGEBRA 1HONORS- Students will study linear equations and inequalities, graphing, slopes, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of algebraic expression.

SCIENCE- Students will investigate an integrated life, earth, and physical science curriculum designed to meet new state standards in the areas of science and technology as well as environment and ecology.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE EXPLORATORY- Students will be introduced to French, German, Spanish and the cultures of each country.

READING- Students use a variety of materials to make reading productive and fun as strengths are reinforced and weaknesses diagnosed.

ART- Four major areas are studied: aesthetics, criticism, studio, and history (Romanticism, Realism, Impressionism, and Post Impressionism).

COMPUTERS- Students will learn to use advanced work processing, spreadsheet, and basic multimedia applications.

FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCE- YOUTH AND THE FAMILY: focuses on analyzing critical issues and information affection individuals and their families in relationships to our society such as teenage body image, food safety, and sanitation.

HEALTH- Students will engage in the study of mental health, social health, sexuality, sexually transmitted diseases, alcohol, and drug education.

MUSIC- Students will explore musical theater through opera, musicals, oratorios, and cantatas.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION- Students participate in team, individual sports as well as lead-up games are offered.

TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION- Students work with computer based learning modules in the technology fields of engineering, communication, and biotechnology.
