Salisbury Middle School teacher Kim Snyder emailed me some sites that she discovered through attending a conference:
- Virtual Math Manipulatives - The National Library of Virtual Manipulatives (NLVM) is an NSF supported project that began in 1999 to develop a library of uniquely interactive, web-based virtual manipulatives for mathematics instruction. The material is appropriate for various levels K-12.
- The Learning Toolbox - This is great! It is set up for student, parent and teacher use. I have used many of these research based strategies in my classroom.
Thanks, Kim, for sharing these resources! If there is something that you think is worth sharing and would like to use this forum to do that, just email me at rziegenfuss@stsd.org.
