Western Salisbury has seventy-two PCs.  Peripheral teaching and learning tools include laser and deskjet printers, flatbed scanner,  dvd/cdrom players, digital cameras, presentation monitors, video/LCD projectors, distance learning equipment, and smart board technology  There are computer systems in the library and in every classroom.  There is one computer lab available for classroom curricular enhancement.  PCs are also located in offices for administrative and communication needs.  Each and every student from kindergarten through fifth grade receives continual opportunities throughout the school year to utilize computer hardware and software.  Software includes language arts, math, science, research, desktop publishing,  word processing, and internet access.  All K-5 classroom teachers attend in-house technology workshops to encourage and facilitate the integration of technology into their elementary curriculum.

     Our goal is to integrate personal computer and related technologies into existing curricula at all grade levels and in all subject areas.  The creation of interdisciplinary units focusing on student competencies will be strongly encouraged and supported.
