Students who enter fourth grade have
                 the opportunity to play a band instrument which
                 includes the flute, clarinet, oboe, alto saxophone, trumpet,
                 trombone, drum and mallet percussion instruments.
                 Lessons are held once a week for thirty minutes on a
                 rotating basis which includes small homogenous grouping.
                Band meets once a week on Tuesday at Truman and Thursday
                at Western Elementary after school from 3:15-4:00 PM.  Students
           may enter Band once they achieve a proficient level in their book.
           Transportation home is the responsibility of the parent at the conclusion of
           rehearsal.

 
Concerts are held three times a year, once
in the winter before holiday break, our
district instrumental  music concert, and our
annual Spring concert.  For exact dates,
