Our Mission:  To facilitate development of students and staff as effective users of information and to foster a life-long habit of reading and learning. 

Our Curriculum:

     Library instruction for first through fifth graders will develop an  appreciation of a variety of literary works.  Students will become  familiar with quality literature, such as Newbery and Caldecott winners.  Their developing appreciation will be exhibited by studying nominees for the Pennsylvania Young Readers’ Choice Award and voting for their personal preferences.   

     By the end of fifth grade, students should be able to identify, locate, and evaluate Library Media Center resources for a variety of identified needs.  Ample opportunities will provide the building blocks for each individual to become a self-directed learner.
